Gordon has a demonstrated commitment to creating welcoming spaces—particularly within the 2SLGBTQIA+ and fitness communities . As the founder of the “See You Next Thursday” gay men’s pub night and a regular gay men’s T-Dance, he has successfully built consistent, well-attended social programs that foster connection and belonging.

Actively involved in his local community, Gordon serves as a board member of the Kelowna Downtown Knox Mountain Neighbourhood Association and is an active member of Kelowna Tree Protectors. As Program and Event Coordinator for the Okanagan’s Rainbow Seniors Project, Gordon brings strong organizational ability, empathy, and lived community experience. He is dedicated to developing engaging programs that reduce isolation, support well-being, and celebrate the diversity and resilience of older 2SLGBTQIA+ adults, while also building meaningful connections between younger adults and seniors to strengthen community across generations.
