Sophi Chiasson is a dedicated advocate and a proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Of Red River Métis and Mi’kmaw heritage, Sophi’s work is rooted in her passion for supporting both queer and BIPOC communities. Based in West Kelowna, she is deeply committed to nourishing and strengthening the local community she calls home.

Sophi brings a wealth of hands-on experience in community building through her role as a Program Leader for BGC Okanagan (BGCO), a position that reflects her love for mentorship and social connection. Her dedication to justice and equality drives her contribution to Advocacy Canada, where she bridges her lived experience with her knowledge of queer and Indigenous issues.

A lifelong creative and entrepreneur, Sophi is also the founder of Wrapped In Ribbon, a small business dedicated to the craft of Indigenous ribbon skirts. Whether through activism or artistry, she is constantly seeking new ways to learn, grow, and champion a more inclusive world.
