Stephanie Anaka

Director of Indigenous and Two Spirit Inclusion

Stephanie Anaka is an Anishinaabe woman from Manitoba and a survivor of the Sixties Scoop. Taken from her family as an infant, she has transformed a history of trauma into a lifelong commitment to healing, education, and advocacy. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Studies from UBCO and is pursuing a law degree focused on Indigenous land and rights. As a certified financial broker in British Columbia, she supports Indigenous communities in navigating financial empowerment. Her advocacy is grounded in resilience, cultural reconnection, and justice, inspired by her work with
Positive Pathways for Sixties Scoop Foundation where she is the founder, and her determination to end intergenerational cycles of trauma.
