Advocacy Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Board of Directors for the 2025–2026 term, elected at the organization’s recent Annual General Meeting. The new board brings together a diverse team of community leaders committed to advancing equity, inclusion, and advocacy for 2SLGBTQIA+ people across the Okanagan and beyond.
The newly elected board are:

Vice President, Governance & Strategy: Amber Hall
Vice President, Trans Inclusion: Darrien McWatters
Secretary: Sophi Chiasson
Treasurer: Vacant
Director of Communications: Alan Gonzales
Director of Membership: Matteo Stewart
Director of Volunteer Engagement: Mikayla Jones
Directors of Community Engagement: Giles Ringer
Director of Indigenous and Two Spirit Inclusion: Stephanie Anaka
In announcing the new board of directors, Wilbur Turner, President of Advocacy Canada, shared:
