It is with great excitement that we announce the unveiling of the art design for our groundbreaking billboard project, aimed at spreading love and positivity for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in the beautiful Okanagan region.
We cordially invite you to join us at the grand launch event of our billboard campaign, which will take place on Friday, August 18th, 2023. The event will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the prestigious Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art, located at 421 Cawston Ave #103, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6Z1 on the unceded territory of the Syilx people and Okanagan Nation.
The evening promises to be a delightful gathering filled with creativity, inspiration, and solidarity. Witness the breathtaking art design that will grace digital billboards in West Kelowna and Lake Country, sending a powerful message of support and acceptance for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Uplifting music will be provided by local musician Muireann Meiklejohn.
Your attendance and participation in this event will go a long way in supporting our mission to spread love and positivity throughout the Okanagan. To help us make this vision a reality, we kindly request a $20 contribution per ticket, however any amount will be accepted. Entry by donation will also be available at the door and no one will be refused for being unable to donate at this time.
As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, non-alcoholic beverages and treats will be served on a donation basis, with all proceeds going to Free Parent Hugs Kelowna.
