Advocacy Canada invites you to Daylight Glitter & Groove, a Sunday afternoon dance for the rainbow community on July 26 from 2:30 to 5:30 pm at Unicorn Lounge. This is a 19+ event built as a safe and affirming space where all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions are welcome. Spaces where 2SLGBTQIA+ people can gather, dance, and be themselves without explanation haven’t always existed in the Okanagan, and this one exists because of community support.

DJ Altair will be on the decks all afternoon, and snacks will be served throughout.

This event is part of Advocacy Canada’s ongoing work addressing isolation experienced by 2SLGBTQIA+ seniors, and it’s intentionally designed as a daytime gathering that brings together younger and older members of the rainbow community in one room. It’s made possible in part with financial support from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.
